Wildwood Regional Park in Thousand Oaks, California – February 2015

Wildwood Regional Park is one of my favorite hiking areas in the area. I used to hike 5-8 miles in these hills 5 days a week. Most of the year it is a pretty dry landscape and can be quite dusty. From late winter (which in southern California is more similar to spring) until spring ends the area is full of lush green grass and flowers.

Paradise falls also tends to be running at a higher flow which makes for better pictures by the waterfall as well as a more interesting walk down along the stream that feeds it.
